Hello, and welcome to my blog!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve kept a diary and written short stories. Many of these stories have to do with my journey towards career success, personal fulfillment and living life joyfully. In this blog, I’ll share some of these stories, along with the many pieces of practical advice that I’ve lived by. I hope you'll enjoy reading these and will feel inspired to chase after your dreams and be the best version of yourself in this sometimes crazy thing called life.
I would describe myself as a positive pragmatist, always weighing the pros and cons but at the same time looking at the bright side of things. I’d also say I’m energetic, reflective, empathetic and driven. In recent years, I’ve made huge strides in personal development, and while I’m not yet at the ultimate self-actualisation point, I feel like I’m getting ever so closer.
Most of my professional experience is related to finance, but in 2012 I left that hectic schedule behind to pursue my MSc in Marketing at the University of Manchester. Upon completion of my studies, I took up the role of Project Manager and found great joy and fulfillment working with social housing organisations because I feel together, we brought about real change in people’s lives each and every day. At the moment, I am a freelance writer and blogger, and am thrilled to have the forum to exchange ideas with others on topics about which I’m passionate. I aim to write about things that will be of value to and benefit others.
The world can sometimes be a lonely and unfriendly place, full of all sorts of worries and anxieties that can easily overwhelm and bring us down. My view is simple: be compassionate and be kind to each other as well as to ourselves. Life is so full of opportunities that no one should ever feel that they are in a rut so deep that they can’t get out. Let’s keep motivated to keep reaching, striving, trying.
Here’s what’s in-store for you:
I’m going to be sharing some of my goals with you and letting you know how I’ve done. One of my goals is to read more this year, so I’ll share with you my thoughts on what I’ve read. I’m going to be showcasing other real-life stories of people who inspire and recommend resources to help you in your journey and enhance your overall well-being.
Sharing is caring:
I’d love hearing from you, so please feel free to send me your feedback and ask any questions you might have. Also welcome are suggestions from you as to what you’d like me to discuss in future posts. I look forward to hearing your stories too!
